POW Film Fest 2021
LIGHT IN THE DARK.
POW Film Fest is Portland’s premiere film festival showcasing the work of women and non-binary directors. For the 2021 film fest, we decided to explore the dark, isolating experience of the 2020 pandemic; looking for power in pain. Pulling from that inspiration, I developed the look and feel for the 2021 event, designing a logo, seal, feature film posters, and icons for the short series.

Feature Films
For the feature film posters, I collaged together stills from the films. Leaning into the experience of lockdown; how days blurred together, causing us to only remember snapshots. I layered the images in mixed order allowing them to overlap the image next to them creating a more dynamic visual.
Short Series
Pulling from the collage feature film posters, I used vintage photographs and illustrations to create icons for the Shorts Series.
